Another idea is to look for smaller scale fixtures, like tubs, shower pans, and even toilets, that are made in a smaller size that will better fit your room. A smaller fixture that does the work of its larger counterpart can help open up a room and give a more spacious look to even a small bathroom.
Don't forget about storage when planning your bathroom. While a pedestal sink may look great, where will you store the items that are under your current vanity? Items like towel racks, over the toilet storage cabinets, and well designed medicine cabinets can help you keep the essentially within easy reach. Again, look for fixtures that can do double duty while still looking stylish. By planning carefully, you can make even a small bathroom feel like a spa.
