We would all like to have enough space in our bathrooms to keep all that we need and look nice at the same time. Unfortunately, most of the times space is an issue, so we have to use it wisely. If we are thinking about the basement bathroom, than this space problem seems more difficult. The basement bathroom is in most cases a secondary one, so it is small and we do not want to spend a lot of money with it. There are some innovative solutions to solve this problem or at least pretend we did (creating the illusion of more space in the room).
The mirrors.
If you will use some mirrors in the bathroom they will help you create the idea of more space. A good place to put a mirror is on the door, because it will hide it. Another good place is in the corners because it will give the illusion of round room. The mirrors will also help the room seem brighter and therefore it solves another problem of the basement bathrooms: the lack of light (most of the bathrooms situated in the basement do not have a window).
The light bulbs.
You can use more small light bulbs instead of one in the middle of the room. This way the bathroom seems bigger and you have control over the exact amount of light in the room. In order to be more effective you can try the colorful lights, not to cross the line, just to add some color to the bathroom.
Shower instead of bath tub.
You can choose to have a shower cabinet instead of a bath tub, it will save you some space and water. The amount of water wasted while taking a shower is les than the one with the bath.
Organize.
Keeping all the towels, cleaning supplies and other items from the bathroom organized is mandatory to make your small bathroom seem larger.
