One of the most popular trends in boy's bedroom decorating is the army camouflage theme. It can be easy and inexpensive to create this look in your child's room when you implement some of the ideas that are outlined in this article.

1. Purchase a camouflage bedding set for your child.

Since the bed is usually the largest focal point piece of furniture in any bedroom, this makes it a good place to start to make sure that our theme is carried forward. There are many different colors and styles of camouflage bedding available today, simply select a color grouping that you prefer and match your other accents accordingly.

2. Select a wall border.

You can select a wall border with an armed services theme from one of the many that are available today. Hang the wall border around the ceiling height of the bedroom to help demonstrate the theme throughout the room.

3. Choose a neutral paint color.

Pick a paint color in a neutral shade such as sand, gray, olive or beige. It is best to pick a color that is used in your wall border or that is featured in your bedding fabric as your accent color and it helps to tie all of the elements in your room together.

4. Feature an army tank wall mural.

Bring the action and adventure into your child's room by placing an army tank wallpaper mural on one wall. The military type wall murals can be found easily online, are very realistic looking and will thrill your son and all of his friends.

5. Add a pegged wooden shelf.

Hang a pegged wooden shelf on one of the walls. Then hang army fatigues from the pegs for an authentic look and use the shelf above for military accessories.

6. Create a shadow box of military memorabilia.

If a family member has served in the armed forces, make a collage or shadowbox of memorabilia such as hats, medals, certificates, flags and more!

7. Use netting over the bed and over windows.

The netting can be hung over your son's bed to create his own private bunker. To carry out the theme, place some of the netting over a window.

8. Make your own military artwork.

This can easily be done by framing postcards, military photos, pictures from magazines, or photos that are printed out from the internet. If your child is into drawing, have him draw a few army pictures that can be featured in his room.

9. Add camouflage accessories.

Complete your room by adding camouflage accessories. Try using army tanks, Lego military vehicles, GI Joes and accessories or Jeep figures on shelves, desks and dressers to complete the camouflage look in your room.

Any of these nine tips, or all of them, make it very easy and affordable to transform your child's bedroom into a camouflage adventure.
